I like people,  I find people endlessly fascinating.

Teambuilding came naturally over the course of my professional career.

My approach to teambuilding facilitates a team's ability to work more productively and creatively by helping each member be more self aware, and to understand others and their differences  - all done with a twist of humour and dash of compassion.

Professional History

I have been working with a range of teams since the early 80's.

Since the 90's, I have been training trainers and other professionals in the use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as it pertains to teams and coaching applications.

The Magnificent 16 was published in 2005, after ten years of research.

The teams I have worked with are varied. Most are managers and executives, but also some volunteers; many areengineers, scientists, professionals, others are entertainers and athletes; someare cross-functional teams, some virtual, some with members spread acrossfour continents with quarterly meetings or others living under one roofwithout any reprieve.

All have a similar goal: to seek a betterunderstanding of themselves and others in order to leverage their differences andimprove performance - or simply improve the quality of their work life.

Tim Scorer, from Naramata Center, introduced me to the Myers-Briggs typology in 1981. I was a skeptic - did not like how I ended up in a certain group of people without knowing the hows or whys.  Somehow it intrigued me enough to read up on it; after two books, I was astonished at just how much it explained me to me, how it explained others in a positive way yet still acknowledged the difficulties inherent in relating to each other.

In 1989 I started working for Psychometrics Canada, at first to market the French version of the MBTI to French Canada and soon afterwards to create a training department that would offer professionals accreditation for the use of the instrument across Canada.

Being part of the Association for Psychological Type's international faculty for a dozen years provided me with the exceptional privilege of working with and getting to know the world experts on type. I soon started carrying my camera around - the first interviews were on a HI-8 camera - and practicing my interviewing skills. My lighting/audio/video skills left much to be desired, but the content quickly became compelling. People just opened up and were generous in sharing how they experience the world from their type's perspective.

I have since delved into C. G. Jung's work to deepen my understanding of the psyche - both conscious and unconscious forces that shape our identity and our world view: dreamwork, journalling, analysis, artwork have all been a part of the exploration of "who I am".

These insights and practices are then shared in workshops and conferences with other professionals keen on knowing and understanding more about themselves and the challenges they face in the quest to living an authentic life whilst living in a superbly diverse world.
